Smiles lit up the faces of residents in Dashen community, Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State, as Senator Binos’ Hospital-on-Wheels arrived to provide free medical services to people battling a wide range of illnesses. Nearly 1,000 individuals received treatment during the one-day outreach held on Saturday at the Dashen Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC).

The medical team conducted major and minor surgeries, including herniorrhaphy, appendectomy, hydrocelectomy, and lumpectomy. General services offered included hypertension and diabetes management, treatment of pelvic and peptic inflammatory diseases, malaria, typhoid, anaemia, and more.

Speaking after the outreach, Dr. Adediran Charles Adekola, a consultant surgeon from Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) and a member of the Binos Medical Team, confirmed that 972 cases were handled, with 23 surgeries performed. He added that patients were not only treated for free but also given medications at no cost. More complex cases were referred to MAUTH Yola.

Earlier, Lead Consultant Dr. Jama Medan highlighted Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe’s unwavering commitment to improving the wellbeing of his constituents through quality, free medical services. “If one person is sick, it affects the whole community. A society cannot progress beyond the health of its people, which is why health remains a top priority for Senator Binos,” he noted.

The PHCC Facility Manager, Roseline Esthon, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Senator Binos, praising the medical team’s professionalism and describing them as the best she has ever worked with.

Dr. Jama further stressed that all services provided were completely free and encouraged residents to take full advantage of the outreach. He also thanked the District Head of Nyibango-Dashen for mobilising community members.

The District Head, Alh. Ahmadu Baba Kebugangso—also known as Wamban Ganye—commended Senator Binos for bringing unprecedented medical relief to his people, calling him “the People’s Senator.” He assured the Senator of overwhelming support from the Dashen electorate in the 2027 general elections and urged residents to cooperate fully with the medical team.

Among the beneficiaries was Malam Abubakar Dashen, who suffered from a strange illness for 12 years but finally found healing during the outreach. “I can’t find the words to thank Senator Binos. God will reward him and grant his heart desires. I am finally free,” he said emotionally.

Another beneficiary, Mrs. Beauty Ayuba Momsiri, who had endured hernia pain for years, underwent successful surgery and returned home healthy. In her message to Senator Binos, she said, “Thank you, Senator, from the depth of my heart. I will never forget this. God will bless you and give you greater wisdom.”

The outreach marked a historic moment for the Dashen community—bringing hope, healing, and renewed joy to hundreds of households.
