Four projects executed by Senator Binos D. Yaroe commissioned in Lamja
Inhabitants of Lamza community in Guyuk LGA of Adamawa State have tasted the sweet fruits of democracy dividends when the Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Sen. Binos Dauda Yaroe, saw the need to execute a good number of projects in the community for the benefit of the masses.
It was a dream come true for the Lamza people when they witnessed the commissioning of the Lamza Police Outpost, Industrial Water Borehole, Lamza Road, Tuesday Market, and the foundation stone laying of Modern Maternity Clinic amidst various cultural dances to the admiration of the personalities and top government officials that graced the event.
In his keynote address, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who described the event as historic, was delighted to see smiles on the faces of the Adamawa people for reaping the sweet fruits of democracy dividends.
Represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Wunfe B. Anthony, the Governor said that Senator Binos in partnership with Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza, has placed the Lamza community on the Adamawa map with the provision of social basic amenities.
Governor Fintiri pointed out, “The execution of these projects is an indication that as individuals, we have a role to play in the development of our communities through lobbying and good approach”.
While stating that Senator Binos Yaroe has proven to be the People’s Senator, Governor Fintiri assured the Adamawa people of continued dividends of democracy as promised during political campaign tours.
Addressing the people of Lamza, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, said that his decision to embark, complete, and commission the project was borne out of his desire to provide people-oriented projects that would improve and enhance the livelihoods of his constituents.
Senator Binos pointed out that as a promise-keeper, it became necessary for him to fulfill the promises he made during campaign tours in communities across the 9 LGAs that comprise Adamawa Southern Senatorial District.
Witnessing the commissioning of the 11.5km road network by Governor Fintiri, Senator Binos said that he got inspiration from the massive infrastructural development executed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, hence his decision to contribute his quota for the benefit of his constituents and in the overall interest of the Adamawa South people.
Talking about the foundation stone laying of Modern Maternity Clinic, the Adamawa South Senator described health as well, noting that promoting the wellbeing of people is his topmost priority.
Senator Binos said that the partnership with Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza is working, adding that more partnerships that would provide democracy dividends to the masses are underway.
In his words, “People have asked: why Lamza? I want to assure people that we have provided social basic amenities to various communities in Adamawa Southern Senatorial District.
“We have provided over 50 industrial boreholes. We have established skills acquisition centers in Numan, Mayo-Belwa, and other LGAs in Adamawa Southern Senatorial District. And many are coming.
“I thank Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza for coming to my support in everything I do. The success of these projects is made possible due to my partnership with Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza”.
While thanking the Fintiri-led Administration for providing an enabling environment for spirited individuals to contribute their quota for the development of the State, Senator Binos assured the Adamawa South people of more provision of basic amenities.
In his remarks, the Royal Majesty, Kwandi Nuguraya, Sir (Dr) Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, commended Senator Binos Yaroe for promising, embarking, executing, and completing the huge projects being commissioned for the benefit of Lamza people and the residents of the neighboring communities.
The Royal Father was optimistic that the four people-oriented projects executed by Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe in partnership with Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza would improve the livelihoods of rural inhabitants in the area.
In his royal words, “We have entered 2024 on the right footing by witnessing the commissioning of these huge projects here in Lamza. Senator Binos on his own is doing good, and with this partnership with Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza, he is doing wonderfully well.
“We cannot thank Senator Binos enough for the wonderful things he has been doing. Today, he has turned Lamza village into a town, lobbied and supported by our son, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza”.
While calling on other political officeholders to key into people-oriented projects, the Royal Father said that hands would be on deck to ensure an area court is established in the Lamza community to enhance the security situation around the area.
In his message, Chokali Lunguda, Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza, described the event as historic and a dream come true for him.
He attributed the success of the projects to the open-door policy of Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, adding that the projects would not have seen the light of day without the support of the People’s Senator.
He stated, “I am a businessman, there are certain things that I won’t be able to do on my own. You need the help of political representatives for you to actualize some projects.
“Senator Binos has opened the doors for me, and I am very grateful to him. The Senator has done a lot of positive things for the benefit of his constituents and for the betterment of the Adamawa Southern Senatorial District. I am proud to be associated with him”.
Also speaking, the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly (ADHA), Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley pointed out that it was the first time in the history of Adamawa State that a Senator had executed and commissioned an 11.5km road network, describing the event as one of its kind.
Represented by the Member representing Guyuk Constituency in the ADHA, Hon. Sunday Peter, the Speaker said that the projects being commissioned would go a long way in improving the livelihoods of the Lamza dwellers and the people of Guyuk LGA as a whole.
While commending Senator Binos and Chief Lamza for making these projects a reality, the lawmaker appealed to Senator Binos for the establishment of the College of Mine and Theological Studies in Guyuk.
Earlier in his welcome address, Executive Chairman of Guyuk LGC, Hon. Solomon Abafras, pointed out that the workable partnership between Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe and Chief Emmanuel Ishaku Lamza had resulted in these projects just commissioned in the Lamza community.
According to him, with the groundbreaking of the Modern Maternity Clinic and the other projects in place, Lamza has been transformed from a village to a town.
While assuring Senator Binos and Chief Lamza that the facilities would be taken care of by the residents of the Lamza community, Hon. Abafras appealed to the Senators and Members in the House of Representatives (HoR) present to intervene in the construction of the road network from Guyuk to Gombe State to ease transportation.
The 11.5km road was Commissioned by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri (represented by Hon. Wunfe B. Anthony); Modern Market was commissioned by Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro (Gombe South Senatorial District); Police Outpost was commissioned by the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola; Industrial Water Borehole was commissioned by His Royal Majesty, Sir (Dr) Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II (Kwandi Nuguraya) and the laying of the foundation stone of Modern Maternity Clinic by done by Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District.
Highlights of the event include cultural and traditional dances by various groups in Lunguda land, special presentations by music entertainers, a horse parade, and a host of others.
