Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, has visited the victims of the Lamurde crisis, where he assessed the damage, consoled the victims, and provided them with relief materials.

In response to this development, the people of Bachama and Chobo have commended the Senator for sacrificing his health to visit them and provide relief materials to ease their hardships resulting from the ongoing communal clashes between the two closely related tribes.

They promised him that they would all shead their swords and bury the hatches for peace to prevail in the overall interest of all and for the development of their communities.

According to them, Senator Binos’ visit to the troubled communities despite his health condition as well as provided them with relief packages was a pointer to the fact that he has the interest and wellbeing of his constituents at heart.

Addressing the victims of the crisis when he visited Rigange and Sabon-Layi in Lamurde LGA as well as the displaced camp at Gamadio community in Numan LGA on Thursday, Senator Binos stressed the need for the tribal people of Bachama and Chobo to live in peace and harmony, if the long-standing history of their brotherhood is anything to go by.

The People’s Senator said that he provided relief materials for them as a way of ‘avoiding visiting the sick with empty hands’, where he promised them more legislative response.

In his words, “I was in sickbed when the recent crisis occurred. Since I was unable to present the case before the Senate, I asked my colleague and brother, Senator Yohanna Amos from the Adamawa State Northern Senatorial District to do that on my behalf. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to present it.

“Thank God I am getting better. When recession resumes, I will demand an explanation why my colleague was denied the right to present the matter for the Senate. I will do my best to ensure legislative aids reach all of you. I call on you to embrace peace and tolerate one another”.

Senator Binos pointed out that he decided to visit the troubled communities in order to get firsthand information and on-the-spot assessment to enable him present the case effectively in the floor of the Senate.
