Senate Committee on Federal Character Reviews SERVICOM’s 2025 Budget

January 17, 2025 – In a pivotal session today, Senator Binos Yaroe, alongside members of the Committee on Federal Character, welcomed representatives from Service Compact (SERVICOM) to defend their proposed budget for the year 2025. This meeting is seen as a critical juncture for aligning SERVICOM’s financial strategies with the overarching fiscal policies of the Nigerian government.

The session, held at the National Assembly, was marked by a thorough examination of SERVICOM’s budget proposal. Key areas of focus included operational costs, staff development, technological advancements aimed at improving service delivery, and public awareness initiatives.

Senator Allwell Onyesoh , chairing the committee, stressed the importance of this budget defense in ensuring transparency and accountability. “We must ensure that every naira allocated to SERVICOM translates into tangible improvements in service delivery for our citizens,” Allwell stated during the opening remarks.
