THE FIRST TRANCHE OF EMPOWERMENT
No fewer than 150 persons in Adamawa South Senatorial zone have benefited from an empowerment scheme initiated by senator Binos d.Yaroe as part of efforts to reduce poverty and unemployment.
The beneficiaries, gathered at his residence today in Mayo Belwa local government area. 15 beneficiaries each were drawn from nine local government areas of the zone. The beneficiaries received take-off packages for their businesses today after undergoing training on leadership and entrepreneurship development /Access to finance for Youth and Business Development
The Beneficiaries were youths & women Some of the empowerment items distributed were, sewing machines, grinding machines, water pumping machines, knapsack sprayers, machetes, and rain boots, 21 persons who applied for saloon Business, poultry farming, fishery farming, and piggery farming were given the sum of 50,000 thousand naira each a start-up grand.
Senator Binos D.yaroe said, the beneficiaries were drawn from the 9 local government area of the zone and were trained on business and leadership development programs before empowering them, this will ease them in their businesses by applying the knowledge & skills acquired during the training.
Lastly, he appealed to the beneficiaries not to sell the items given to them but use them for the purpose they are meant for.
The beneficiaries thanked the senator for the items given to them and prayed for him in discharging his duties.
