Senator BINOS YAROE yesterday led his entourage to BOLKI and GON communities where homes and properties were destroyed as a result of an attack which happened barely one week ago.
The leadership of the two communities received the Senator and took him around the areas affected by the unfortunate incident. Consequently, the people of the communities appreciated the Senator for the visits and the support rendered to the two communities by the Senator and his team.
The Distinguished Senator said his visit to them is not to repay them back their losses but to show their love and commiserate with them because what happened to them is like it happen to him also his duty is to represent them at the red chamber
that they’re the reason why he is there he promised to represent them fully by tabling their problem on the floor of the house.
He donated 80 bags of rice and an undisclosed amount of cash to the members of the two communities, he said this is his own personal assistance to them.
In addition, I have presented the unfortunate incident on the floor of the Senate and the Senate has directed it.
1. NEMA to give relief materials to the communities recently affected by the attacks and communist clashes;
2. Direct the North East Development Commission to carry out an inspection on houses, and public institutions to ascertain the extent of damage in some of the affected areas with a view to carrying out repairs of the structures damaged;
3. Call COAS to direct the brigade commander to check the activities of bandits and cross-border activities in the area;
4. Commend the Adamawa state police commands for swiftly deploying and standing a monopoly unit in one of the areas and urge him to do the same in the other areas;
responding, the village heads from the two sides thanked the senator for coming to their aid and said all hope is not lost since they have a representative that has his people at heart. Also, Call on the entire communities of BOLKI and GON to pray for the senator so that he can discharge his duties effectively
