In continuation of the distribution of fertilizer to farmers across the nine (9) Local Government Areas (LGAs) that constitute Adamawa South Senatorial District, the Senator representing the District, Sen. (Rev) Binos Dauda Yaroe, has embarked on the second phase of the distribution in the 93 Wards across the 9 LGAs.

The Senator ensured the distribution process reached peasant farmers across rural communities in all the 93 Wards in the 9 LGAs, with a call on them to utilize the farm inputs for the purpose intended.

This time, the rural farmers did not have to travel to Impact Farm Limited in Mayo-Belwa LGA to collect their farm implements, the farm inputs were taken right to their doorsteps for inward distribution.

Mayo-Belwa LGA with 12 Wards being the highest number of Wards were given 144 bags of fertilizer to be distributed across the 12 Wards. With that, each Ward got 12 bags of fertilizer for inward distribution.

While Jada LGA with 11 Wards, being the second highest number of Wards were given 132 bags of fertilizer for inward distribution to the benefitting farmers.

The other LGAs with 10 Wards each were given 120 bags of fertilizer each for the benefit of the hoe-masters. The LGAs with 10 Wards include; Numan, Ganye, Demsa, Toungo, Lamurde, Shelleng, and Guyuk.

This reporter, who monitored the distribution exercise, reports that like the flagging off of the fertilizer distribution some time ago in Mayo-Belwa LGA, this second phase of the distribution was transparent and the poor farmers were selected based on their vulnerability and contribution to food production in their respective localities through farming activities.

Speaking to this reporter, the representatives of the LGAs, commended the efforts of Senator Binos for his commitment and determination to ensuring his constituents taste the sweet fruits of democracy dividends.

Some of the representatives include; Hajiya Aisha for Ganye LGA, Mrs Yosi Lerum for Jada LGA, and Mal. Audu Abubakar for Toungo LGA, Mr Katawan Boniface for Numan LGA, and Mr. Gibson Alexander for Mayo-Belwa LGA thanked Senator Binos Yaroe and assured him of transparency in the distribution process.

Playing host to this reporter, the benefiting farmers across the 9 LGAs, thanked Senator Binos Yaroe for keeping to his words. They described the Senator as a promisekeeper.

They said that the Senator did not just distribute bags of fertilizer to them, but he ensured those bags reached them in their respective communities. They described the gesture as commendable.

It could be recalled that on 2nd July 2024, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, in his quest to improve the standard of farming activities across the 9 LGAs of Adamawa South Senatorial Zone, had flagged off the distribution of fertilizer for the benefit of peasant farmers to enable them to produce large quantities of farm produce which would go a long way in fighting against hunger in the land.

The exercise was a collaboration between Rockland Synergy Concept Limited and Nigeria Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) sponsored by Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe.
