Binos Free Medical Outreach: 1,500 Treated With 10 Surgeries In Banjiram, Neighbouring Communities
Inhabitants of Banjiram and neighboring rural communities in Guyuk LGA of Adamawa State have received free medical services with 1,500 treated for various ailments and over 10 surgeries successfully carried out.
The famous Binos Mobile Hospital stormed the Lunguda predominant land for the outreach to reach out to the residents with health challenging issues which witnessed a massive turnout at the Primary Healthcare Centre Banjiram on Saturday.
Speaking shortly before the commencement of the health service delivery, the Senator representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial District, Senator (Rev) Binos Dauda Yaroe, said that the outreach was unique as a result of the partnership with Life Full Company and the Nigeria Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
He noted that the partnership became imperative and necessary in order to meet up with the rising cases of health challenges in rural communities, adding that such partnership would continue on a larger scale at the forthcoming 4-day mega outreach at Numan LGA in November this year.

Senator Binos reiterated that enhancing the well-being of his constituents is one of his topmost priorities, and he assured his constituents of good representation at the Red Chamber.
While attributing the success of the free medical outreach project to the support of the Adamawa State Government under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru, Senator Binos thanked Kwandi Nunguraya; HRM, Sir Dr. Kuruhaye Dishion Dansanda ll, for his royal consent for the outreach in Banjiram community.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the Medical Team Lead, Dr. Jama Medan, disclosed that the team intended to treat about 2,000 patients, but ended up providing various health services to 1,500 as all the patients present had been attended to successfully.
According to Dr Jama, what made the Banjiram medical outreach different from previous outreaches was the partnership with Life Full Company and NYSC, adding that peculiar cases had been referred to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital both in Yola, the capital city of Adamawa State.
In his address, the Ward Head of Banjiram, Mr Justine Monday, pointed out that the exercise was the first in the history of Banjiram and its environs, adding that the joy in the lives of his subjects knows no boundaries.

The traditional leader appreciated Senator Binos for his kind gesture, where he called on his subjects to support the lawmaker to enable him to provide more dividends of democracy and good representation.
In his submission, the CEO of Life Full, Mr. Ben Oyezo, said that the company saw the need to partner with Senator Binos in his quest to render free medical outreach to his constituents for the betterment of all and sundry.
He stated, “In order to come in, we have decided to provide Akiva anti-mosquito lotion for children below five years and pregnant women. When they rob this lotion on their body, it will prevent mosquito bites. Mosquito nets and other safety measures are applied only inside rooms and they are mostly curable measures, and the mosquitoes are everywhere.

“This is why this anti-mosquito lotion has an added advantage because you can rob it and go around doing your normal business outside, and mosquitoes cannot bite you. And as we all know; prevention is better than cure. We are here to give the people of Banjiram the lotion for free as part of our contribution to the medical outreach”.
He revealed that 500 Akiva anti-mosquito lotion bottles would be given to the vulnerable in the community for free, adding that 60% of pregnant women in Nigeria have difficulties in their health status due to mosquito bites. Hence, the a need to prevent the menace.
Ben said that the company has faith in what Senator Binos is doing and they want to be part and parcel of the success story, hence their decision to join in the partnership.
Ben assured Senator Binos of continued partnership, where he described it as a privilege to work with the Senator in the area of health for the betterment and benefit of the people at the grassroots.
In his goodwill message, State Coordinator NYSC in Adamawa, Mr. Samson Atili, said that they agreed to partner with Senator Binos through their rural community health programs for them to be involved in the movement.

Represented by the State NYSC Head of Health Service Affairs, Mr Suleiman Abdulkareem, the State Coordinator said that NYSC has structures on the ground regarding free medical outreaches called Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers across the nation, where he described the invitation by the Senator as a welcome development that came at the right time.
The Coordinator revealed that about 10 corps members came from Yola and 10 serving in Guyuk from health-related Community Development Service (CDS) for the purpose of the outreach; making the number of corps members 20 in the outreach.
While commending Senator Binos for identifying with the NYSC in his free medical outreach, Mr Samson assured him of continued support in the coming medical outreaches.
Also speaking, PDP Ward Secretary in Banjiram, Mr Sunday Dauda Baima, commended Senator Binos for bringing health services to their doorsteps, where he vowed to garner votes for the ruling PDP in the State in the next elections.
One of the beneficiaries is Mal. Dahiru Yusuf. Speaking to newsmen, he said that though he is a card-carrying member of the APC, he has no option but to thank and commend Senator Binos for touching the lives of his constituents.
According to him, “I now understand that politics is not about political parties, it is based on what politicians can do for their people. As I am talking to you, I am a member of the APC, but I cannot deny the fact that Senator Binos is working for the betterment of us; his constituents.
“One good thing about the medical outreach is that people from various political parties can benefit. Nobody asks anybody about his or her political party or religion; it is a program that all people will benefit from. I sincerely want to thank Senator Binos for such a kind gesture”.
The woman leader in the community and supervisor at Banjiram Primary School, Mrs. Lucy Gilbert, prayed to God to grant Senator Binos the desires of his heart to see the need to improve the wellbeing of the Banjiram people.
A son to the Imam of Jumma’at Mosque Banjiram, Mal. Samaila Jibril went under a knife for a hernia surgery. The Islamic teacher thanked Senator Binos for the successful surgery on his son who had suffered from the ailment since he was five years old. The beneficiary is now 17 years old.

According to Imam Jibril, Senator Binos deserves to be appreciated and commended for touching the lives of many in Adamawa South, where he prayed to Allah (SWT) to reward the lawmaker abundantly.
